Things that annoy me. - A Rant by Holly

Because I feel like blogging about something, I'm going to rant about things that annoy me.

  • The words tummy, belly, and stinky. They make my cringe.
  • People saying I'm irritated. Whether I am or not, it makes me more irritated when people tell me this.
  • Talking on the phone. There are certain times when this does not apply, but they're very rare.
  • Insults directed at me or my friends in a non-joking manner. Next person that does this will regret it.
  • People telling me I've changed.
  • People talking to me in a baby voice. I'm not two. Stop it.
  • People who think I lie. I'm probably the most honest person you'll ever meet.
  • Rude people.
  • Obama.
  • Obama.
  • Obama.
  • Hannah Montana.
  • The Sprouse twins.
  • Jonas Brothers
  • People who talk AND act like a valley girl. (EX: Like OMG. My top is SOOOOOOOOOO sparkly.)
  • Obama.

What annoys you?

Thanks for listening ^_^

Stock market crash '08? no. For me it's computer crash '08.

Ok. So not only have I been grounded for a week (ok, so I was only like a little grounded b/c I could get on the computer at school during computer class and have time to do basically everything.. Except update the blog.), but my computer came within this close to crashing today. My predictions will be that my computer is going to crash by the end of the year and I will be able to buy no new hoodies or shoes or anything and will have to buy a new computer.
Computers are crazy. They make no sense. That is the main motivator in me staying in Computer Lit even though I never signed up for it.
Anyway... In a much more positive note, the video for the first single off Fall Out Boy's newest cd (Folie A Deux) released yesterday. It is hilarious. Check it out on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z1wyXxmnEw
Believe me, you will not regret it.
Well, I have no homework this weekend. So I'm going to go chill. Plus, I'm dogsitting for my stepsister. AND, I got a coloring book today of all the Disney princesses. Yes, I'm a dork like that. Have a great weekend!!!

Quote of the day (paraphrased and summarized a bit): "People just don't care anymore. The world is just like 'Me, me, me, me, me.'"~ Patrick Stump. I agree completely with you.

Lyric of the day: "Saturdayyyyyy. When these open doors were open ended. Saturdayyyyyyy."~ "Saturday" by Fall Out Boy (album: Take This To Your Grave)

Word of the day: Choose your own and post it in the comments. Here's mine: Hoodie (not like everyone already knows what that means. Make sure yours is intelligent and something new.)
Used in a sentence- "Clandestine Industries and Rue 21 make the best hoodies in the world."

Ok. I'm gonna go now. The coloring book is beckoning from the other room. And there are 3 flies bugging around my room. They must be dead. Good day to you.
Your blogging friend who is about to kill flies and color,

P.S. Oh my goodness!! I'm watching House. I think this girl's brain just exploded out of her head. I'm gonna watch and see. Comment if you've seen this episode.

The Words of The Wind - A Whatever by Holly

You never hear them,
But they are there.
You might feel them,
Yet never care.
They try to speak,
To those that ignore.
They try to tell you,
How to open the door.

Yet you don't listen.
You don't care.
You don't acknowledge,
The words that are there.

So now I say,
To those reading this,
Head their advice,
To find eternal bliss.

(WOW, am I bored or what?)

44 days is just too long. And 40 days is just too long. Waiting sucks, but I'm super impatient.

Why must life have a "hurry up and wait" way about it? why?????????? WHY I ASK YOU????
Halloween is in like 4 days and I'm ready to wear my Little Mermaid outfit. Yes. I'm gonna be Ariel. And know what else? Folie a Deux comes out in 44 days. Which is just too long, and I got the OK from me madre today to go right after school and get it on November 4th. YAY!!!
Waiting sucks. Surprises suck. A lot of things about life suck. But what rocks are iPods, friends, family and fantastic pets. AND HOODIES, and chicken.. and Dr. Pepper, and music and clothes and the color pink and shopping................... lots of stuff... The goods about living far outweigh the bad. And what's best about life is God. Just gonna throw that out there.
Anyway.... Well, this blog post doesn't match my semi good mood. Maybe it's b/c my mom is blasting country music in the other room, and my fantastic music cannot drown it out. Darn it. well, I'm gonna go and silence the crap playing in the room. Adios amigos.
Your impatient blogging friend,

Halloween Par-tay - A Post By Holly

Hola folks! If you have read previous posts, then you will more than likely know that WE (B*A*C*H) are having a Halloween party.
No. You're not invited. Haha, if we actually *knew* you, you might be invited. Maybe.
Anyway, we/I am in desperate need of Halloween Party activities/songs.

Here are the songs I have for the party playlist:

  • What's This - The cover by Fall Out Boy
  • Walking on Air - Kerli
  • The Piano Knows Something I Don't (Maybe) - Panic At The Disco

And that's all I have. I would like some creepy/Halloween-ish like songs for this playlist. Any suggestions?

Ok, as far as activities go:

Yep....any suggestions would be most appreciated.

And that's all she wrote.

Let's get together and laugh at stupid people! - A post by Holly

Well ok, I'll come right out and say that I am a Republican, and as a republican I find the things coming out of celebrities mouths getting more idiotic with each syllable.

Take this quote by Pam Anderson:

“I can’t stand her (Palin). She can suck it!”

WOW! Your intelligent vocabulary is so overwhelming! Please enlighten us with your intellectual insight everyday! (It'll give me more to laugh at.)

To Lindsay Lohan who said to Palin:
"...stop posing for the tabloids, you're a VP canidate, not a celebrity."
(We wouldn't want anybody to encroach on your new area of expertise, now would we?)

Eva Longoria says:
"After four years of sex and treachery in Desperate Housewives, I thought I was a perfect pick for vice president."
(After four years of watching your treachery I didn't think you were that desperate.)

For fear of posting every quote I have heard and making fun of them (which would make for a VERY long post), I shall call it the night.

Hope you have a great night!

Thanks for reading!

Sickness

Ugh!!!! Don't ya just hate being sick?!?!?!?!?!?! Well I do and I've been sick since last last Tuesday!!! Everytime I cough I think of that mucus commercial, you know the one with that green round thing that's supposed to be a representation of that junk stuck in your throat. Anyway i went to the doctor and he used all these big words like Upper Respitory Infection for sinus infection and stuff like that. I think that doctors get paid for how much they confuse a person!! Cause everytime I leave a docotor's office I'm confused!!! He gave me this medicene that makes me dizzy, drowsy, and dry-mouthed (thirsty a lot). So yesterday I was feeling good enough to do something, but not good enough to do something about it. I was supposed to go to a friend's house on Friday night, but my mom said no, that she wanted me to go with her to Memphis. Ends up we don't go because she think I'm too sick and she had other stuff to do. So anyway... we ended up going to Wal-Mart cuz I wanted to spend some money. For some reason spending money makes me feel better, in fact it makes every girl feel better. Although I'm not sure why, but it just does. So my mom and I are on our way to Wal-Mart and I'm drivin. I feel AWFUL and the road is going blurry. My mom was like "Oh my gosh, pull over!!!!!" I told her no, I would let her drive on the way home. So we get to Wal-Mart and I ended up buying a REALLY REALLY REALLY cute, red purse and some brown shoes. I felt better, but I DID NOT drive home. Well I think I've rambled on enough plus I'm tired and have to go to school tomorrow, UGH!!!!!!!! Well until next time.

Then new iPod nano. Everyone who wants one raise your hand. *Raises hand*

OK... so like just about everyone else these days, I have an iPod. I got the second newest version of the nano. The one that came out last year around this time.

I really should've waited to get this new nano. It's fantastic. And it comes in every color your little heart could desire. The new features are awesome.

It has some similarities to the amazing iPod Touch. You can add apps and when you tilt the screen the screen changes to suit whichever way you turn it, and, get this, when you shake it, IT SHUFFLES THE SONGS.

That has got to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my entire life. For real. I want one so bad. A pink one. They are awesome, but it would be wasteful to have 3 iPods now wouldn't it? Which is exactly why the thoughts in brain are telling me to sell both my current iPod nano and my ever trusty iPod Mini.

Should I do it? I'm not sure. I really want to. Really bad.

Post your opinions on what I should do. Here is a pic of the newest addition to the iPod family.

Maybe by some crazy miracle I'll get it.
Edit as of 9:31pm: Just received news that Panic At The Disco lead vocalist, Brendon Urie, will be performing guest vocals, playing the piano and GROWLING *faints* on the new Fall Out Boy record Folie A Deux. DID I NOT TOTALLY PREDICT THIS AND WISH FOR IT?!?!?!?!?!?!
I. AM. SO. GOOD. ;]
Your blogging friend who seriously loves the new iPod nano,

This is your spine. It's connected to your back. Appreciate it.

Ok... so today was one glorious night without *a bunch* of homework. I don't consider reading unless I will be quizzed or tested over it homework. So in that case (I'm pretty sure) I have no homework.
Sometimes I want to smack people so hard they'll still feel it when they're dead. One of those times is right now. But on a few happier, less annoying notes, Halloween is a little over a month away, FOB's new CD comes out in less than 2 months and the single off of Folie A Deux, "I Don't Care", was released yesterday evening. Yes, I already have it, and yes it is truly fantastic. One of the most beautiful voices in the business. And one final note about "I Don't Care", yes I pretty much already know all the words. :] haha.
Yay!! It's almost Halloween. I love Halloween. I'm especially excited this year to be able to have something to do without something with my fellow BACH homies without having other plans screw them up. My official costume (as of now. My costumes change a lot before being finalized) is Butters the Pink and Black Butterfly. It's an inside joke. You wouldn't get it if you aren't inside. Hopefully I'll be getting the stuff for it tomorrow. Hopefully. There is no guarantee. All other details are being witheld from everyone. Yes, everyone. That means you too, fellow members of BACH. There is only one other person who knows the knitty gritty details. And she won't tell you. Who is it? You'll never know.
Well, I hope everyone has a great rest of the day and rest of the week.
Quote of the day: "I. Don't. Care what you think. As long as it's about me."~ "I Don't Care" by Fall Out Boy
Word of the day: Triskaidekaphobia- the [irrational] fear of the number 13.
Thought for the day: About Brittney Spears thanking God in her acceptance speeches at the VMAs on Sunday for "Best Pop Video" [which should've gone to Panic At The Disco], "She needs Jesus. They deserved it more than B.S. Her initials stand for something, too. That should tell ya somethin'." ~ a *paraphrased* quote by Caroline.
Lyric of the day: "Proclamation of Emancipation. Oh. Dear. Lord." ~ "Catch Me If You Can" by FOB featuring Travie from GCH. It's hilarious. It really has no significance to life at all.
I'm gonna go listen to that song now. Ok. Bye.
Your blogger who is happy b/c she got to wear a hoodie and eat chicken today,

The Biggest Rip-Off Since Gas Prices....A Rant By Holly

The Fair.
Ok.
Really?
MUST we bring our entire fortunes with us to cover the charges the fair throws in our direction?
Here is how I'll some up the expenses at the fair for you:
  • Entry Fee: $5
  • Price for 20 tickets: $20
  • Price for more tickets after you spent the last batch on one ride: $10
  • Food: $9
  • Being lured into a balloon popping side game: $20
  • Realizing that the money you just spent could get you into Disney World: Priceless.
So here's a fair warning to everyone reading this: Save your money, go to Orlando instead.

~Holly~

P.S.-
Did I mention that I was about to go all crazy white girl on the game vendors? How many times must I say "NO THANK YOU! I DON'T WANT TO PLAY YOUR RIP OFF OF A GAME!"

School. Why must these people make things so difficult.

Why? Why must school be so annoyingly time consuming. Why do teachers find it necessary to give us quizzes and test? Do they not know that we cram it into our brains from 15 minutes-2 hours and then forget it all once our names are on the paper and turn it in? Then we just have to remember it for a final at Christmas time that costs up to like 50% of our grade. Then we forget it all over the break and start the cycle all over again. Then summer comes and everyone forgets just about everything they've learned. It's SO STUPID.
And why does school have to start so early?!?!?! Why can it not just start at like noon. OR we could go from like 7am to 6pm 3 days a week. We would have about the exact same time of school spent and teachers would never have to give homework b/c we'd have plenty of time to do it in our 12 hour day. It makes so much more sense. Life would be WAY less stressful...
This all spawns from the fact that I have 2 tests and 2 quizzes tomorrow and other homework that's due on top of that. It's ridiculous. I used to love school. Now I HATE IT. I don't want to go. If it weren't for the fact that it's my only ticket to getting what I want in life since none of my family is super rich or famous, and I myself have no talents that could make me famous. Oh well.
So I guess I must hit the incredibly boring books and make my way in life. All I want to do is sleep. But can I sleep? NO!! B/C TEACHERS INSIST ON GIVING US STUPID HOMEWORK.
And did I mention the fact that the backpacks are super heavy and pain my already worsened back?????? School is the dumbest idea ever. The scientists need to hurry up and invent a microchip you put in your brain that automatically makes you know everything.
Wouldn't that be convenient? So if any super Science geniuses are reading this you need to get to working 'cause I'm sick of studying. READY, SET, INVENT.
OK. That was stupid. A sure sign I need sleep, but let me remind you that I CANNOT!!!!
Wow. I use the pronouns "I" and "me" a lot. Does that make me self absorbed? Maybe. Oh well.
This lyric describes my day: "I'm hopelessly hopeful, you're just hopeless enough."
Thought for the day: "Which came first: The music or the misery?"
Quote of the day: "We're all a bit bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it." ~ The Breakfast Club.

OK... that's enough of my sleep deprived rambling. I'm gonna go study *vomits* and listen to music. Oh, and drink some Dr. Pepper.
your ridiculously tired and chicken deprived blogger,

The Sims 3, the game you pay 40 dollars for to feel like Bruce Almighty. - A Post By Holly (A dedicated Sims gamer...)

That right's folks, I'm writing about the game that we love, then hate, then love some more after not touching it for a couple of months. The much anticipated The Sims 3 is set to release in 2009, unraveling the Sims' world as we know it. This new version will include features not thought possible by past Sim gamers (although we always hoped for it) and amazing/rubbery new graphics.

Cutting to the chase, here is a list of some of the new features:
  • Personality- Finally you can make your Sim have an individual personality! One Sim can hold up to three traits (such as bravery, a great cook, etc..), so go on and make your toon into the paranoid 'skitso' chef that you always wanted it to be.
  • Neighborhood- No more having to call a taxi to take you to and fro, you can now do it yourself! The new and improved Sim neighborhood is limitless, allowing you to actually walk OFF YOUR PROPERTY. How momentous is this? Of course, who's to say your Sims are going to want to walk anywhere when we ourselves need a tractor trailer to go trick-or-treating? I mean, if you're going load up on candy you might as well WALK for it...but that's for another post...
  • Customization- Clothes. Hair. Body type. Nose. You name it, you can customize it. You even have more fabric color options for furniture. So go ahead, make stuff clash.
  • Short-Term/Long Term Goals- Have time to kill? Only have until your boss comes to check your progress on the Hamilton case? No problem. You can achieve short term or long term goals during gameplay, so you still have the self satisfied feeling of accomplishing nothing, however long you have to play.

So there you have it. Sounds pretty promising huh?

Thanks for reading

~Holly~

My writing is mine, and nothing more in this post. I do not own The Sims 3, but really, if I did would I be sitting here writing about it? I think not. I would so be at Disney World (which I disclaim the copyright to also) right now.

Love/hate relationships and FOB. It makes sense in a crazy way. I promise.

Love/hate relationships. What can I say? I have a lot. Let me give you a small list...
1. The internet: I love the internet. I absolutely love it. Without it I wouldn't know about the happenings of my favorite bands and news about fun stuff and Facebook. I love all this stuff. But, I hate the internet. It NEVER works. It messes up all the time. It takes forever to load and it's slow. It gets on my nerves so bad!!! This relationship changes from day to day.
2. Technology: It is sooo unruly. Technology NEVER listens. It is disobedient. But again I don't know if i could live without technology. It completes my life. It is so awesome. The best and most "obedient" type of technology is the iPod. My iPod is fantastic. I would die without it. Seriously. Music is like air. It's essential to life. anyway...
3. Myself: Emo much? Haha. I mean honestly. Who doesn't love and hate themselves all at the same time?
4. iTunes: MINE CRASHES ALL THE TIME! yet at the same time i love it b/c without it my iPod would be musicless.
5. Cell phones: Txting is good. Calling people is good. The fact that mine break all the time, obnoxious.

This was a most amazing day. Fall Out Boy released their single "I Don't Care" on their website. It's great. Go check it out at www.falloutboyrock.com... It's so good. I cannot wait till "Folie A Deux". It's French for the maddness shared by 2. How do I say it? I'm not sure....
So how does FOB tie into the love/hate message above? Well, duh. I love them. But I hate that they don't come out with their new CD till November. Makes sense huh?
Peace, love and music,
***AshLee**

Book->Movies...A Transformation....A Post By Holly.

Here is a summary, per say, that I wrote awhile ago talking about some of the literature being made into movies. I felt like posting it up on here too, so enjoy!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, it's common knowledge by now that Twilight is going to be made into a movie, but have you heard of these?

Maximum Ride:
It has been announced that this thrilling book series (written by James Patterson) will be interpreted into a major motion picture.
The release date is a undescripted 2010 and the cast list is no better, only being mentioned on chat boards.

InkHeart:
A delightful adventure, intriguing the avid book lover with it's tale about every reader's dream. Scheduled to be released in early 2009, this movie has a great outlook at the boxoffice with a brilliant cast including Brendon Frasier.

Uglies:
No doubt you have seen this series covering the shelfs at Books-A-Milliion, but can you see it covering the movie screen? This controversial story is past the "rumored" stage but has not yet been announced to a point of details.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2:
Many of us fell in love with the heartwarming tale of undying friendship when it was in print, and many more were taken with it when it was pushed to the big screen. Yet, how will it fare with a sequel? One can only hope that a follow up to such a wonderful picture will be equally as true to the written counterpart.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:
To be the sixth movie in a seven part series, this has a lot of expectations to live up to! Most of us have grown up with this epic literature, and memorized every release date of the movie versions, but will the "greatness" continue?
Well, no duh.

Hope you enjoyed my little sum up!

~Holly~

Music

Hey there, i was watchin the Tenn football game, but i decided to write instead.
I love music, it's so amazing, i seriously don't know what I would do without it! My favorite genres are country and rock. Love Rascal Flatts and Lady A and Josh Turner, etc. Love
Panic At The Disco, The Cab and Fall Out Boy, etc. They are all just so great! Can't wait till Fall Out Boy's new c.d. and tour or The Cab and Panic At The Disco and other artist's Rock Band tour, even though no one is coming to Tn...yet. I love all these artists. Who are some of your favorites? Leave a comment and tell us who you like and why. We are always up for new bands to listen to! If you have never heard of any of these bands, I reccomend them, but remember, keep your mind open. When I first heard Panic At The Disco, The Cab, and Fall Out Boy I didn't like them, but my friends kept "forcing" them upon me and now I LOVE THEM!!! Post your favorite artists and tell us why you like em.

A note to the Twilight fans....A Post By Holly

Dear Fellow Twilight Fans,
As I'm sure you know, Stephenie Meyer has recently decided to postpone her work on Midnight Sun..... indefinitely. When I first heard this I was terribly saddened by this news and slightly angered, but then I read the blog post on her official website. The air of that post was so depressing, it almost broke my heart to see just how hard the manuscript leak hit her. I know a lot of you are angry, whether it be at Mrs. Meyer for foregoing her work on this book or at the group that basically stole Meyer's hard work, but right now, I think she really needs our support.
As a writer, I know how this would affect me and knowing that my fans were upset with what I thought was my only option at the time, it would send me into a spiraling depression.
So, let's send her our support and best wishes, I'm sure she must need it right now.

Here is an address to send supportive letters:

Stephenie Meyer-

My New Hobby-

Hello peoples! This is Holly! *Waves to her fans*
I'm just writing to ramble about my new hobby, which is making up idiotic, corny, pointless jokes that still make you laugh.
And they are potato jokes, nonetheless.
What's that?
You would like to hear one of my fabulous potato jokes?
Well, sorry, you can't, I'm going to write a Joke Book.
I can see it now! I'll be published! I'll be the source of all the jokes of the elementary school playground. That didn't come out right.
Anyway, keep an eye out for my new book! I'll even sign it for you!
FOR FREE!
I mean, you still have to pay for the book, I'm going to sign it for free though!
FREE! That's right! FREE! F-R-E-E, FREEEEEEEEEEE!

Alright, I'm outie.
How about that for a first impression?
Horrible, ain't it?

Peace, Love and Cheese.

Well, it's just me. Leaving my very first blog post. What am I gonna say? Who knows.

hello everyone...
well, I say everyone... there probably isn't really anyone... anyways.
so this is my first blog post on here... all by me self. I don't really have much to say... other than that I'm completely excited for the new Fall Out Boy record that drops November 4th. That's the best thing happening on Election day.
If you are a fan and you haven't downloaded the mixtape yet then you should b/c it will blow your face off. :] it's good. I promise. I cannot wait for the cd.. it's gonna be amazing. I know it. those guys always cook something insane up for their cds.
I personally am hoping for a duet with Panic At The Disco's Brendon Urie. but then again, most fans have been anxiously awaiting that duet. They performed on The Cab's song "One Of THOSE Nights" but they weren't singing together. Dang it. That's like the musical duo of my dreams.
Anyway... I've typed quite a lot for havin absolutely nothing to say... I really would love some chicken and a Dr. Pepper right now. it sounds yummy. Particularly chick-fil-a chicken. Mmmm. Yummy.
Well, that's all I feel like typing for today. Hope all you little punks had a good labor day weekend. Ha. Like anyone other than my other 3 friends are actually reading this. I'm gonna go listen to music now.
Your music obsessed blogger (no i couldn't think of anything better. give me a break. I'm tired.),

p.s.- helpful beauty tip for girls: shaving your legs with conditioner is the best idea ever. it makes your legs silky and smooth.

Happy Brithday Joe Trohman

Hey it's us again. We're just here wishing Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy a very Happy Birthday!!!! And Ryan Ross of Panic At The Disco a Happy Belated Birthday!!! And while we're at it, we might as well wish Spencer Smith of Panic At The Disco a Happy Early Birthday!!!
Ok that's all for now.
